Erdal Ozkaya is a leading IT security expert and is now lecturing at Charles Sturt University
Erdal Ozkaya is a world-renowned expert and educator on security in the Microsoft environment. He has now taken up a lecturer position at Charles Sturt University.
To read the news at WhaTech.comwhatech.com click hereOzkaya was the founder and senior Microsoft instructor of CEO IT Training, a company that has now merged with Fast Lane Asia Pacific; one of Australia’s Silver certified Microsoft Learning Partners.
He is now a speaker and technical leader at international events. He is also a certified security consultant and ethical hacker trainer. He specializes in Windows client operating systems and applications, including Exchange 2007/2010/2013 and SharePoint 2007/2010. He is also certified by the EC-Council security as well as ISO 27001/27002/27005.
Microsoft has repeatedly honored him for his achievements in speaking, education, and writing courseware. He became the first Australian Microsoft Certified Leaning Consultant in April 2010. He is the only recipient of this award in Australia.
He was awarded “Best Technical Learning Guide” as well as “Best Speaker” at Microsoft Technical Education Seminars (TechEd), Australia. He also won the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (Windows Expert-IT Pro) award in 2009 and 2012.
In 2011, and 2012, the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council), awarded him the Global Instructor of the year Award. This award recognizes instructors who have made a significant contribution to the information security community through leading EC-Council certificate programs.
Ozkaya shared with WhaTech that he began his career in IT security when he was just a teenager. “I started my career in IT at the age of 15 working in small companies. I learned a lot about networking, and then I decided to specialize in security as I saw many security flaws. I learned from the mistakes of others and became a well-known expert in the market.
Ozkaya continues to be active in the ‘frontline’ of IT security and protecting organisations from cyber threats, in addition to his lecturing and training.
He is involved in the development and enforcement of regulatory requirements for organisations to protect their digital assets.
